Anne DiMatteo (nee Nudo), 94, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born and raised in Niagara Falls, she was the beloved daughter of the late Jack and Vincenzina Nudo; and the cherished wife of the late Frank J. DiMatteo to whom she married on February 7, 1953 at Prince of Peace Church.
Anne was a dedicated hairdresser who ran her shop out of her home for many years, bringing joy and beauty to many in her community. Alongside her husband, she also owned and operated the 3 Star Motel in Niagara Falls, NY and they also owned/managed two trailer courts for several years. Her entrepreneurial spirit and hard work were truly admirable.
Anne enjoyed spending time at the casino and was an avid poker and bingo player. She had a passion for cooking and baking, while passing down her recipes to her children, enjoyed evenings out dancing (Jitterbug) with her husband. Above all, Anne loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
Anne is survived by her children, John (Gail) DiMatteo, Frank DiMatteo, Darlene (Anthony) Bagneschi, Mark (Kim Duong) DiMatteo and Maria (Anthony) Sicurella; her grandchildren, Anthony (fiancé Maria) Sicurella III, Christopher Bagneschi, Jeffrey Bagneschi, Anthony G. Bagneschi II, Frank Sicurella, Dana (Blayne) Michael, Angela DiMatteo and Michael DiMatteo; her nieces, Catherine (late John) Walaszek and Vincenette (late Richard) Nudo Frazier and her sister-in-law, Ann (late Michael) DiMatteo. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her siblings, Concetta (late Nick) Pugliese, Emil Nudo, Yolanda (late Dr. Joseph) Principe, Anthony (late Cathy) Nudo, Margaret (late Jim) Ciadella, and Louis (late Josephine) Nudo.

Funeral services will be held privately for Anne’s family with interment in Dickersonville Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
