WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. — Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-26) and representatives from the office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand are hosting Service Academy Night 2018, an opportunity for high school students, families, school administrators and counselors to learn more about service academy institutions, programs and the application process.
Representatives from the U.S. Military AcademyNaval AcademyCoast Guard AcademyMerchant Marine AcademyAir Force Academy and R.O.T.C programs will be in attendance.  Each of the military academy representatives will be available to answer questions and provide more information about the admissions process, eligibility, and nomination requests.
Service Academy Night will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Williamsville South High School, 5950 Main Street in Williamsville, New York 14221.
Service Academy appointments are made by the President of the United States based on congressional and/or military nominations.  Each year Senator Gillibrand and Congressman Higgins appoint Academy Advisory Boards, made up of Western New York veterans and community leaders, to interview all applicants and make recommendations.
