Nicholas A. Quaglia, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on January 26, 2025, at his residence under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Stephen and Concetta (Bellonte) Quaglia, and the husband of the late Ursula C. (Oster) Quaglia, who he married in 1963 and predeceased him on November 19, 2015.
Nick was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. He was employed for the Niagara Falls Water Board for 20 years, and worked for over 30 years on the Assembly Line at General Motors in North Tonawanda, NY until his retirement in 2000. Nick was also the Manager of the Niagara Dragstrip in Niagara Falls, NY. He was a member of the United Auto Workers, as well as the LaSalle Sportsman Club.
Nick enjoyed bowling, and was proud of his 300 game. He also enjoyed watching football and horse races, as well as going to area casinos and racetracks with his wife, Ursula. Nick also enjoyed listening to country music on every car ride he took. He cherished the time he spent with family and friends, especially at family picnics, breakfast get to togethers (especially on Fridays at Denny’s), and was always up for a good cup of coffee. Nick will be remembered for his comical, joking, and edgy sense of humor. He always made his nieces, nephews and grandchildren’s lives fun, and was always helpful to anyone in need – he was giving, generous, and loyal to his family. Most of all, Nick will be missed for being a happy and kind person, and for his unwavering and hardworking work ethic.
Nicholas is survived by his son, Anthony (Theresa) Quaglia; his step-children, Joseph Lange and Linda Lange; his grandchildren, Christopher Quaglia and Rachel (Scott) Ortman; his step-grandchildren, John Washington, Jeremy Lange and Jeffrey Lange; his great-grandchildren, Matthew and Luna; his sister, Anne Trane, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his siblings, Stephen (Linda) Quaglia, Frank (Dotty) Quaglia, Michael (Phyllis Monaco Bucci) Quaglia, and Theresa (late Bill) Wagener.
