Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia reports the arrest of 27-year-old Collin Nance of Pueblo, Colorado, following the execution of an arrest warrant for felony assault. The arrest was made by the US Marshals Office Regional Fugitive Task Force in conjunction with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office and the Town of Cheektowaga Police Department.
On today’s date, at approximately 11:50 a.m., the listed agencies executed the arrest warrant at 830 Cayuga Creek, Town of Cheektowaga. Nance was taken in to custody on location and while being searched subsequent to arrest, was found in possession of a loaded Kimber Micro hand gun and additional loaded magazine, totaling 13 rounds.
Nance was transported for processing and charged with the following:
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon – 2nd degree – Class C Felony.
Nance was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment on the listed charge and to await an extradition hearing for the arrest warrant out of Pueblo, Colorado.
