REDONIA, N.Y. — Ronni Kordrupel (East Aurora/Iroquois) became Buffalo State’s first-ever female to repeat All-SUNYAC honors in cross country, garnering second team honors for the second-straight season leading the Bengals who placed ninth at today’s conference championship meet on the campus of Fredonia.

NOTABLES

  • On a cold and wet day, Kordrupel traversed the 6K course in 25:06 to place eighth of 104 runners, improving two places from last season.  By finishing in the top-10 twice, Kordrupel qualified for the SUNYAC Cross Country Championship Hall of Fame.
  • Olivia Ryan (Manlius/Fayetteville-Manlius) was the second Bengal across the finish line, placing 35th in 27:05.
  • Kassidy Manke (Buffalo/Kenmore West) was next for Buffalo State, crossing 58th in 28:11.
  • Jaclyn Tedesco (Cheektowaga/Cleveland Hill) and Michelle Debbins (Lancaster/Lancaster) rounded out the scoring members for Buffalo State, finishing 68th (28:38) and 85th (29:58) respectively.

 
NOTEWORTHY

  • Buffalo State dropped two points in the season-long Battle by the Lake competition against Fredonia, finishing behind the Blue Devils in the team standings.  Fredonia placed eighth, just eight points ahead of the Bengals.
