CANISIUS COLLEGE ATHLETICS
BUFFALO, N.Y. — The MAAC Women’s Soccer All-Academic Team was announced Tuesday morning and 15 members of the Golden Griffins were honored, tied for third most in the conference.
Seniors Emily Czechowski, Emily Kuta, Melanie Linsmair; juniors Madeline Beaulieu, Margretta Dry, Hope Gilchrist, Alexis Henderson, Alicia Larsson-Vahlberg, Meaghan O’Neill, Alana Rossi; sophomores Magdalen Canitia, Bailey Fenwick-Miller, Hannah Kim, Shauna Lee and Amanda Wisbeck were all honored by the conference for their achievements.
In order to be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
Canisius ended the regular season with an overall record of 4-8-5 and 1-5-4 mark in the conference. The Blue and Gold’s season came to an end Oct. 24, with a loss to Siena at the Demske Sports Complex in Buffalo, N.Y.
