Barbara A. Ozimek, of Lockport wife of the late Marion “Ozzie” Ozimek went to be with her Lord Savior on November 5, 2018.  She was born January 25, 1937 in Clarence, NY.  She was the daughter of the late Joseph John Blarr and Barbara Ann (Beiter) Blarr Dunlap.

Barbara and Ozzie were blessed with five children, Frank J., Debra (Duane) Coon, Paul J. (Laurie), Robert D., and Kenneth J.  Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Michael Ozimek, Melissa Laur, Danielle Ozimek, Joshua Coon, Tiffany Coon, Sheena Bakos, Bethany Kimori, Nikitta Ozimek, Joshua Callahan, Frank F. Ozimek, Stephanie Kuzara, Robby Warren; and treasured her 14 great grandchildren.

Barbara will forever be remembered by her siblings, Ada (late Karl) Koestler, Joseph (Carmella) Blarr, and Donald (Shirley) Blarr; a host of nieces, nephews, and godchildren.  She was predeceased by sisters Mary (Aldred) Kabasakalian, Elizabeth Blarr, Carol (Joseph) Woodruff, and sister-in-law Stella (Alfred) Zulke and Dona (Fran) Ozimek.

Barbara was employed by Harrison’s Radiator for over 25 years.  She was a longtime member of St. John The Baptist RC Church, lifetime member of South Lockport Ladies Auxiliary where she held many offices including president, vice, and historian.  Barbara loved spending time gardening, fishing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.  She touched the lives of many people and will be missed, but remembered for her love of others and dedication to family.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday, Nov. 11th from 2-6 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Nov. 12th at 10 AM in St. John The Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.  Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.  Donations to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
