NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The Purple Eagles men’s swimming and diving team defeated Waterloo, 105-100, on Saturday afternoon.

Meet Notes

The relay team of Dominykas Intas, Nicolas Winograd, Edgar Melchor and Nick Rogers won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:35.96.

Dalton Stier placed first in the 200 free with a time of 1:46.56. Rogers placed second in the same event with a time of 1:47.14.

Intas was a double individual winner. He placed first in the 50 free (21.49) and the 100 fee (46.97).

Andreas Rintel took first place in the 200 IM with a time of 1:57.76 and Winograd placed second with a time of 2:01.01.

Winograd placed first in the 100 breast (59.13) and Melchor placed second (59.75).

Coach’s Corner

“Waterloo is always our closest meet of the year,” said head coach Ben Nigro. “It was exciting to watch all of the close racing and cheering.”
