BUFFALO, N.Y. — Liv LeBaron (Corning/Corning East) led five Bengals scoring in double-figures as Buffalo State never trailed in an 83-66 victory in a non-conference game at Medaille this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- LeBaron finished with 23 points to go with 13 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and five steals.
- Grace Licata (Williamsville/Williamsville South) added 15 points off the bench.
- Katie Villarini (Hamburg/Hamburg) and Kaelee Lynch (Atwater, CA/Buhach Colony) scored 13 points each, and Princella McCullough (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) netted 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
- Buffalo State jumped out to an early 10-2 lead, but Medaille battled back to cut the deficit to 18-16 midway through the second quarter.
- The Bengals led 30-24 at halftime and used a 17-4 run to close the third quarter to pull away, never allowing Medaille to threaten in the final frame.
- Buffalo State dominated the Mavericks on the run, holding a 22-2 scoring advantage on the fast break. The Bengals also had a 44-24 scoring edge in the paint.
FOR THE FOES
- Breanna Walker led Medaille with 17 points, and Amanda Arnold added 11.
- Medaille hit nine 3-pointers to try to stay in the game.
