Gail Marie Czach, 68, of Newfane, New York, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, after a short, aggressive battle with cancer. Born on August 15, 1957, in Lockport, New York, she was the beloved daughter of the late John Jakubec and Lucille (Kinney) Jakubec, and the devoted mother of her son, Michael Czach.
For 30 years, Gail dedicated her career to General Motors, where she worked diligently until her well-earned retirement. Known for her generous spirit and warm heart, Gail was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back. She was deeply caring, always ready to lend a hand, and never said no to someone in need.
Gail loved to spend time surrounded by family and friends, especially during holiday dinners and gatherings she so joyfully hosted. She found happiness in playing cards and bingo, cheering on the Buffalo Bills with her son, brother, and sister-in-law, and enjoying the outdoors or traveling when she could.
In addition to her son Michael, Gail is survived by her loving siblings: her brother Leonard (Shelley) Jakubec, sister’s Dorothy Lynch, Carolyn Hess, Linda Wagner, and Bonnie (Samuel) Vinju. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Gail’s life will be held at Taylor and Reynolds Funeral Home in Lockport on Tuesday, December 9th, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Her kindness, laughter, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
