PRESS RELEASE — The Town of Newfane is proud to join the Newfane Central School District, along with the District Superintendent, Board of Education, faculty, staff, and the entire student body, in celebrating a truly historic moment for our community.
In recognition of the Newfane Panthers Varsity Football Team’s outstanding achievement and their advancement to compete for the championship title, Town Hall will close at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025, to allow Town employees and their families the opportunity to attend and support the team. As a result, the previously scheduled Town Board Work Session scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm that evening will now be moved to 7:00 p.m.
The Panthers, led by Head Coach Chuck Nagel, will face the Wilson Lakemen at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, home of the Buffalo Bills. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
The Town offers its heartfelt congratulations to the entire team, with special acknowledgment to Senior quarterback Mac Capen for his leadership on the field, and to all players whose dedication and hard work have brought pride to our community.
