Robert W. Lizardo, 76, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Robert was the son of Roeth Lizardo and the late Rev. Dorothy (Johnson) Lizardo. He attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.
Bob, also known as Bobby or Robert, was affectionately called “Chick” by those who truly knew him. He began his career at Nabisco Shredded Wheat Co., where he worked diligently for over 22 years. He later found his true calling as a tour guide with Over the Falls Tours, a position he held for more than two decades. His passion for sharing the beauty and history of Niagara Falls with visitors from around the world brought him immense joy.
A man of deep faith, Bob lived by the words of Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” His Christian values guided his life and gave him strength and comfort.
Bob was an avid fitness enthusiast who found fulfillment in weightlifting. He was a devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills and Niagara University basketball. His love for animals, especially his dogs, was evident in the care and companionship he gave them.
Bob enjoyed spending time in Lewiston, where he enjoyed strolls and visits to Hibbard’s Ice Cream. Above all, Bob was a devoted father and grandfather. He treasured every moment spent with his children and took great pride in attending his grandchildren’s events—especially his grandson’s basketball games at Lewiston-Porter High School.
Bob is survived by his children, Nicole Scott and Jason Lizardo; his grandchildren, Trenten, Moriah and Jacob Scott; his siblings, Gary (Steve Achilles) Lizardo, Virginia Marie (late Carmen) Cipolla, Mary Louise (Jeffrey) Ehde and Thomas (Barbara) Lizardo; his former wife, Maria Gara; the father of his grandchildren Marc S. Scott, Sr., as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
