
BOSTON, Mass. – Niagara men’s hockey forward Maxim Muranov has been named Atlantic Hockey America Rookie of the Week and defenseman Lane Brockhoff has been named Atlantic Hockey America Defenseman of the Week the conference announced Tuesday morning.
Muranov recorded three goals in the weekend sweep over Bowling Green. The Moskva, Russia native recorded both goals in the 2-0 victory on Friday and added another on Saturday.
Brockhoff tallied one goal and one assist in the 5-2 victory over Bowling Green. The Edberg, Alberta native also added two blocked shots.
The Purple Eagles will return to the ice on Friday, Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. when they head on the road for the first time this season to take on Union.
