Russell G. Mowry, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. He was born on Wednesday, October 30, 1946 to Carole Wilk in Buffalo, New York. Russell devoted many years to his career in sales at Amrex Chemical, where he was known for his integrity and commitment to his work. He was admired not only for his professional skills but also for his genuine spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand.
He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (nee Tobolski), with whom he shared a deep and abiding love. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with laughter and joy. Russell was a devoted father to his three children: Eric (Becky) Mowry, Alicia (Jameson Forney) Lepine, and Adam (Jennifer Hacker) Mowry. He took immense pride in their accomplishments and cherished every moment spent with them.
As a loving grandpa, Russell found great joy in his grandchildren, Brittany (John) Bingold, Shannon Mowry, and Mark Lepine. A devoted great-grandfather of Nathan, Phoenix, Rhiannon, Luca and Daniel. He delighted in their laughter and was always eager to share stories and create lasting memories. His gentle guidance and unwavering support will be deeply missed.
Russell is also survived by nieces and a nephew, who will remember him for his kindness and the special moments they shared together.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Russell’s life at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William Street, near Harlem Road on Friday, October 17th from 4-7 PM where a funeral service will follow at 7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA (300 Harlem Rd, West Seneca, New York 14224), honoring Russell’s love for animals and his compassionate spirit.
