The Canisius golf team posted a score of 306 on Monday and finished in 11th place, as the Golden Griffins took part in the 2025 Matthews Auto Collegiate at The Links at Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin, N.Y. 

Junior Mikey Takacs shot a three-over par score of 75 and finished tied for 11th in the tournament with his two round total of 142 (-2). Freshman Adam Cichowski and Cole Thompson both shot 76 on Monday. Cichowski tied for 57th in the tournament, while Thompson placed 59th.

Iona won the team title of the tournament after the Gaels shot 561 as a team, which was two strokes better than second-place host Binghamton. Iona had three golfers who finished the tournament under-par, including Sahir Baylin, who posted a 36-hole score of 135 (-9).

Canisius will close out the fall golf season Oct. 12-14 when the team takes part in the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa.
