Michael Carter entered into rest September 17, 2025. Born March 31, 1961, he was the son of the late James and Mary Jane (Stumph) Carter.
Besides loving & spending time with his family, Mike was passionate about many things. Mike was a proud American. He loved & served his country by being a proud Marine. Mike worked as a Lab Assistant at ECMC for more than 18 years.
In Mike’s younger years he was an avid hunter, fisherman & outdoorsman..
Mike was a biker at heart. He loved his bikes. One of his passions was traveling with his wife to exciting destinations around different parts of the country. Mike was extremely proud of riding the Dragons Tail twice, leaving his broken helmet hanging from the Dragon’s tree. Mike’s other passion was his beloved Buffalo Bills. He never missed a game on TV.
He loved to watch cooking shows & try new things he learned. He adored animals, dogs in particular. Helping to rescue countless dogs over his lifetime. Mike was willing to help anyone that was in need, Friend or stranger. Mike was a very strong, brave man, with the heart of an Angel till the end.
Beloved husband of Linda Carter. beloved father of Jacquelyn Dodson and the late Christopher Carter. Cherished grandfather of Finn and Wila Dodson and Starlynn Tilton. Dear brother of Robert (Jodine) Carter, Sharon (Romeo) Branco, Thomas (Linda) Carter, Patricia (Jeff) Alband and the late James Carter. Step father of Craig Drabik, Wendy Tilton and William Tilton. Michael was predeceased by his parents James and Mary Jane Carter and his first wife Wilma Carter. he is survived by his beloved dogs Buddy and Kody. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday September 24, 2025 from 4-7 at the Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home, 70 Niagara Street, where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday September 25, at 9:00 am. Military Honors will be held at the Western New York National Cemetery at 10:00 am.
