Earlier on Sunday, Thompson closed out the second round of the tournament, which was suspended due to darkness on Saturday, with a two-under score of 70. In that round, Thompson carded six birdies, with five of those six birdies coming in his first seven holes of the round.

Lehigh’s Noah Zyung won individual medalist honors after he shot a six-under 66 in the final round for a three-round total of 207.

Canisius will return to action Sept. 15-16 when the Blue and Gold travels to Omaha, Neb., to take part in the Bluejay Invitational, hosted by Creighton.
