The Niagara Falls Americans are excited to announce changes to our coaching staff for the 2025 PGCBL season. Two coaches will depart from the organization, being replaced by exciting new candidates. First, the organization would like to thank coaches Dan Brick and John Rogowski for their contributions in the preseason, and the early start of the regular season. Coach Brick has been especially vital to introducing our 2025 team into this new season, and helping the Americans earn a win in our first game of the season. We wish both coaches success with their collegiate teams!

With the departure of these pieces, the Americans are excited to introduce two new coaches. Coaches Wil Cordero and Paul Wolf will now enter in, hoping to lead a promising new Americans squad into postseason contention.

Paul Wolf will enter his first year coaching with the Americans, but is not new to coaching at Sal Maglie Stadium. Wolf additionally manages the Buffalo Diesel, the premier amateur baseball team out of western New York. The Diesel will play several games at Sal Maglie Stadium this summer, even facing the Americans on July 8th and July 21st. In his time with the Diesel, Wolf has led the team to four National Amateur Baseball Federation World Series titles, in 2015, 2017, 2022, and 2024. Prior to his coaching career, Paul played college baseball at Erie Community College and SUNY Fredonia. In addition to his Americans and Diesel coaching responsibilities, Wolf also coaches a 16U travel team that one of his daughters plays for. His long list of contributions in the baseball world has earned Wolf a spot in the Western New York Baseball Hall of Fame. When away from the diamond, Coach Wolf runs an insurance agency, The Paul Wolf Agency, in Kenmore, NY. At home, Paul is married to his wife Alissa of 21 years, and the couple has had three daughters, named Sophia, Jocelyn, and Tessa.

Wil Cordero is a former 14-year MLB player, and a longtime baseball coach at a Massachusetts summer camp. Cordero debuted in the MLB in 1992, with the Montreal Expos, at the age of 20 years old. His best season would come in 1994, when Cordero would win a Silver Slugger award, in addition to being named an MLB All-Star. Coach Cordero played with six organizations in his time in the bigs, with the majority of his time coming with the Montreal Expos/Washington Nationals organization, as well as the Cleveland Guardians. His MLB career would conclude with him batting .273, with 1178 hits, 122 of them being home runs. Shortly after the end of his playing career, Wil started coaching baseball at Kutsher’s Sports Academy, now Berkshire Trails Camp, in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. He has stayed with the camp even nearly two decades later.
