
Nicholas Paslawsky, a dedicated family man and proud veteran, has passed away at the age of 93.
He is remembered as a beloved husband to Tatiana “Tania” (nee Mandzij) Paslawsky, and a devoted father to his daughters, Natalie (Andrij) Pryshlak and Christine (David) Marchal. A cherished grandfather, fondly known as “Gaga,” he brought joy to his grandson, Matthew Nicholas Ladd. Nicholas was also a dear brother to Anna (Mykola) Shwec and Maria (Jim) Becker and leaves behind family in the U.S. and Poland.
Nicholas served his country honorably as a U.S. Army Veteran and was an active member of the Ukrainian American Veterans Wolodymyr Holynskyj Post #23. He spent his career working in production at Ford Motor Company.
Family and friends will gather to honor his memory on Tuesday from 3-8 PM at the Pietszak Funeral Home, 2400 William St. (near Harlem), where a Panachyda service will be held on Tuesday at 6 PM and again on Wednesday at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Liturgy at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 308 Fillmore Ave, Buffalo 14206.
Military Honors Burial will take place at St. Matthew Cemetery in West Seneca, NY.
