Dorothy J. Rogers, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on May 27, 2025 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Ashland, WI, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret M. (DiGennaro) Dahlgren.
Dorothy came to the area as a child with her family. On April 25, 1964, she married Francis ‘Frank’ J. Rogers in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Rogers predeceased her on July 7, 2009. In her younger years, Dorothy taught ballroom dancing at Arthur Murray Dance Studio and played the accordion. She later worked at the International Paper Mill, and part time at Wayside Coffee Shop, the Wedge Coffee Shop, and Wilson Farms. She enjoyed playing Bingo, and shopping, and was a lover of birds and dogs. Above all, she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Kevin Rogers, Brian Rogers, and Mark Rogers; her grandsons, Noah Rogers and Nicholas Rogers; her adopted brother, David (Grace) Dahlgren, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband of 45 years, she was sadly predeceased by her son, Sean Rogers.
Private funeral services and interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY, will be held at the convenience of the family.
