Before Tuesday’s meeting of the Niagara County Legislature, the Niagara Falls Fire Department (NFFD) dropped off bags of toys in support of the Christmas Giving Tree located in the rotunda of the Niagara County Courthouse in Lockport. Collections from the Christmas Giving Tree support Casey House Shelter, Twin Cities Outreach and the Salvation Army.  For nearly 70 years, NFFD has been running a toy drive to provide gifts for children in families of need.  Toys are distributed throughout all of Niagara County.  The Niagara County Legislature also presented a $4,000 check to the NFFD drive from community partnership funds in support of the effort.
