The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch throughout most of New York State, including all of Western New York.

The tornado watch, which means conditions are in place for a tornado to possibly occur, runs through 9 o’clock tonight.

Simultaneously, there is a beach hazard alert in Niagara County, meaning, “strong currents and dangerous swimming conditions expected.”
