LOCKPORT – On June 16th, 2024 at 19:58 Hours, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received multiple calls reporting a motor vehicle accident in the area of 4086 Johnson Road involving a motorcycle that went off road.

NCSO patrol arrived and discovered the motorcyclist down in a field with severe injuries, who was receiving medical care from bystanders and members of the Wright’s Corners Fire Company. Initial investigation at the scene revealed that the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Johnson Road when it lost control and left the roadway onto the west side of the road. The motorcycle struck a tree which caused the operator to be ejected.

The operator, a 24 year old male from Lockport, was transported to Lockport Memorial Hospital by Mercy EMS, and then later flown to ECMC via Mercy Flight. The operator is listed in critical condition at ECMC. His name is being withheld at this time. The accident is being investigated by the NCSO Accident Investigation Unit.
