Aubrey ‘Butch’ Brown, Jr., 72, of Grand Island, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 13, 2024. Born in Fredericksburg, VA, he was the son of the late Aubrey Sr. and Helen (Lewis) Brown.
Butch, as he was affectionally known by his family and friends, attended local schools and graduated from high school in the Spotsylvania County School District. For many years, he was employed as a Warehouseman at Moore Business Forms in Virginia, where he met the love of his life Donna Muoio in 1982. He also worked for the City of Alexandria prior to moving to Gurnee, IL. While in Gurnee, Butch worked with Trustmark Life Insurance Company until his retirement.
In 2018, Butch and Donna moved to Grand Island, NY to be closer to her family. Butch enjoyed music of all genres, as well as cooking, traveling and tending to the yard. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
In addition to Donna, Butch is survived by an aunt, Jenita Lewis, a sister-in-law Angela Brown, and many beloved cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Rickey J. Brown.
In accordance to Butch’s wishes, funeral services with entombment in St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Grand Island, NY will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Roswell Park Alliance Foundation at roswellpark.org or Buffalo Hospice at hospicebuffalo.com. Arrangements by M.J.
