David M. Galvano, 62, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on April 14, 2024 at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late David N. and Palma (DeGregorio) Galvano.

David was a graduate of LaSalle High School in 1980, and later earned an Associates in Liberal Arts and Sciences with Merit in June 1986 at Niagara County Community College. David also continued his educational path at Niagara University completing a Master’s of Science in Education, Administration and Supervision in 1991. David later went on to attend The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, completing a degree in Associate of Occupational Studies, Culinary Arts in 1993.  On January 23, 1998, he married Gina M. (Rossi) Galvano.  David was employed for over 25 years as a Teacher for the Niagara Falls Board of Education as a Home Economics teacher at LaSalle Senior High School and later Gaskill Middle School, until his retirement in 2017.

David lived to preach the Word of God and of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and enjoyed reading his bible and mentoring others.  He was a devoted member of the Dominion Life Christian Center in Niagara Falls, NY.  Blessed with the love and talent of music, David enjoyed playing guitar and piano, especially with his daughter Nicholina.  He also enjoyed cooking, riding his motorcycle, architecture and interior design and hanging out with his lifelong best friend, Michael Janese.  Above all, David cherished the time that he spent at home with his family.

In addition to his beloved wife of 26 years, David is survived by his children, Nicholina Galvano, Ashley (Frank) Gallo, and Marissa (Ken Hussar) Scoma-Hussar; his granddaughter, Autumn Gallo; his best friends, Michael Janese and Dan DeGoski; his mother in-law, Jean (Jerry) Roberts; his sister and brother in-laws Angela (Richard) Goulah, Debra (Jonathon) Sanford, and JoAnne (late Joseph) Rossi, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
