On January 2, 2024, Troopers out of SP Lockport arrested Yolanda E. Waples, 54 of Lockport, NY for Driving While Intoxicated- drugs, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree (D Felony) and Criminal use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree. Troopers also arrested Jenee R. Kowalik, 51 of Newfane, NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree (D Felony), Criminal use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree and had an outstanding bench warrant.
On January 2, 2024, at 9:54 P.M., Troopers out of SP Lockport performed a vehicle and traffic stop on a 2014 Chrysler on Robinson Road in the town of Lockport for vehicle and traffic infractions. While interviewing the operator, Waples showed indicators of intoxication. Waples was placed under arrest after failing SFST’s. The passenger, Kowalik had an active bench warrant. Both suspects were in possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Both were transported to SP Lockport for processing. Waples was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert and summited a blood test to determine intoxication by drugs.
Both suspects were transported to Niagara County Jail for centralized arraignment.
