On January 1, 2024, Troopers out of SP Olean arrested John D. Zink, 55 of Olean, NY for Driving While Intoxicated- BAC > 0.08% and other vehicle and traffic infractions.
On January 1, 2024, at 1:08 P.M., Troopers stopped Zink on State Route 417 in the town of Allegany for traffic infractions. While interviewing Zink, an odor of alcoholic beverage was present. Zink was placed under arrest after failing multiple SFSTs and transported to SP Olean for processing. Zink recorded a .09% BAC.
Zink was issued traffic tickets returnable to the town of Allegany Court for a later date in March 2024.
