On January 1, 2024, Troopers out of SP Lockport arrested Robert L. Taylor, 36 of Kent, NY for Driving While Intoxicated- BAC > 0.08%, Driving While Intoxicated with prior arrest within 10 years (E Felony) and other vehicle and traffic infractions.
On January 1, 2024, at 11:37 P.M., Troopers responded out of SP Lockport for a hit and run property damage of multiple mailboxes on Ridge Road in the town of Hartland. The victim of the damaged property followed the 2020 Hyundai and retrieved the license plate and called 911. Niagara County Sheriff’s Office patrol located the vehicle traveling on Ridge Road. Taylor was throwing open beer out of the window before being pulled over. Troopers arrived as Deputy’s performed a vehicle and traffic stop. While interviewing Taylor, an odor of alcoholic beverage was present. Taylor was placed under arrest after failing multiple SFSTs and transported to SP Lockport for processing.
Taylor was issued traffic tickets returnable to the town of Harland Court for a later date in February 2024.
