Richard A. Kohn, Sr., 75, of Sanborn, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his beloved family. Born in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Orville and Eleanor (Stilwell) Kohn; and the loving husband of Judith (Gallant) Kohn, who he married in 1967.
Richard was raised in Buffalo where he attended Riverside High School. During the Vietnam War, he joined the United States Army until his honorable discharge in 1969.
Richard retired from General Motors in Tonawanda, NY as a machine operator after 35 years of dedicated service. Above all, he devoted his life to his family who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by his two daughters, Dawn (James) Credicott and Sondra (Edwin) Tromble, and was sadly predeceased by his son, Richard A. Kohn, Jr. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kurt, Wyatt, Dottimarie, Katie, Shelby, David, Cassondra, Jacob and Trinity; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
