NIAGARA FALLS — Bowling is a team sport. And the absence of All WNY Bowling Team Captain Drew McGrath was felt hard Tuesday night as Marran Trucking took seven points from team All WNY in the Sanborn Businessmen’s bowling league at Rapids Bowling Center.

On the Marran Trucking team, Justin Schimshack rolled a 103-135-141for a 379. Shawn Amrhein bowled a 168-185-134 for a 487 series. Tyler Kroening rolled a 191-110-183 for a 484 series. And Ryan Wagner bowled a 104-146-164 for a 414 series. With handicap, the team had a 820-830-876 for a 2526 team series.

On the All WNY side, Tyler Mondoux shot a 225-188-210 for a 623 series. Anthony Berak bowled a 79-119-136 for a 334 series. Scott Leffler rolled a 125-121-95 for a 341 series. In McGrath’s absence, the team was allotted a “blind” score of 150-150-150 for a 450 series. With handicap, the team scored 801-800-813 for a 2414 series.

Each game in the league is worth two points in the standings, while the overall team series is worth one additional point.

Coming into the night, All WNY was fourth in the 10-team league. The shutout is likely to cost the team a few places in the standings.

They’ll be back on the lanes on Tuesday, Nov. 21.
