Incumbent Niagara Falls Mayor Robert Restaino was re-elected Tuesday night, garnering 48.39 percent of the vote (3,455 votes) to Carlton Cain’s 45.56 percent (3,253 votes) and Demetreus T. Nix’s 3.87 percent (276 votes). There were 156 write-in votes, accounting for 2.18 percent of the votes cast.

In the City Council race, Democrats Brian S. Archie and Jim Perry won the two seats. Archie took 3,858 votes and Perry took 3,125 votes. Republican Vincent A. Cauley gained 2,930 votes, Republican Michael S. Gawel got 2,203 votes, Uniquia D. Lewis won 309 votes, Michael A Murphy Jr. won 260 votes and Jennifer Marie LaMoy got 248 votes.
