On October 1, 2023, SP Machias Troopers arrested Carl M. Blenski, 41, of Cuba, NY for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.
Troopers responding to a report of an unresponsive male in a vehicle on Savage Road in the town of Yorkshire observed Blenski exhibiting obvious signs of impairment and determined he had been operating a motor vehicle while in an impaired condition. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Blenski was arrested and transported to SP Machias, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.00% BAC. A Drug Recognition Expert evaluation confirmed Blenski to be impaired by drugs.
Blenski was released with appearance tickets for Yorkshire Town Court, where he is due to appear at a later date.
