Rachel (Santiago) Colton, 68, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 25, 2023. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Ruth (Ramos) Santiago and the late Louis Santiago. Rachel graduated Niagara Falls High School and spent a majority of her life working at Wilson Farms; prior to that Dante’s Pizzeria. Rachel had a heart of gold and was well known for her benevolent attitude towards everyone in her community.
Rachel was a very family-oriented woman who enjoyed many pastimes, especially if her family was involved! She enjoyed going to Bingo, board games, and playing knock. A night out at the Olive Garden with her family was always special for her, and she loved to get dressed up and have her hair and nails done. Rachel was ever so passionate about her collection of masks and trolls. The little things made Rachel the happiest; simply just having coffee on the porch and talking to her loved ones. When inside she liked to watch Television, more specifically; WWE (Roman Reigns was her favorite), judicial shows, and crime dramas like Law & Order but Rachel’s happy place was being outdoors.
In addition to her mother, Rachel is survived by her grandchildren Justina Santiago (Jamal Humphrey) and Richie L. Santiago; great-grandchildren Jamal Jr. and Kiara Humphrey; step-daughter Betty J. Colton; siblings Joseph (Nadaline) Santiago, Dan Santiago, Sara Rodgers (late James Rodgers) Lucy Parker (late Ronald Parker), Rosa De Boyd, and Anna Santiago; daughter-in-law Rea Santiago; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was sadly predeceased by her only son, Richard Santiago, former husband Gene Colton, siblings Milca (Mickey) Haluska, Louis (Papo) Santiago, Kevin Santiago; and her two nephews TJ Santiago, Jeremy Santiago.
