Frances Berds, 80, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2023 at Hospice Buffalo. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Luca and Leona (Horrigan) Galante.
Frances attended local schools in Niagara Falls, where she graduated from High School. In 1979, she moved to San Francisco, CA, and was employed at Management Recruiters International as the Executive Recruiter. She relocated to Beverly Hills, and returned to Niagara Falls in 1993 to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She was also employed with HANCI until her retirement.
Frances enjoyed interior design and decorating. She was an avid cook, but above all she cherished the time spent with her family.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Norman) Barry and Lori (Christina Mihalitsas) Anthony; her grandchildren, Stephen (Danielle) DePalma III, Edward Barry, Jordan Anthony and Jack Anthony; her great-grandchildren, Stephen IV and Pamina DePalma; her nieces, Mary Kay and Kathy; and her beloved Tina Alvarez, who was like another daughter to her. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Daniel Horrigan.
Visitation will be Monday, October 30 from 4 – 6 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where prayers will follow at 6:00 PM.
