NIAGARA UNIVERSITY — Former Niagara women’s basketball player Maddy Yelle will be continuing her career in the United Kingdom this upcoming fall in the ‘Play Overseas’ program.

The ‘Play Overseas’ program allows former student-athletes in the NCAA and NAIA to continue their athletic careers while pursuing a master’s degree overseas.

Yelle spent five years at Niagara playing for the Purple Eagles from 2018-23. She suited up in 83 games for the Purple Eagles while starting in 67 games. In 2022-23 she started in all 31 games and was the only Purple Eagle to play in all 31 games.
