Elizabeth ‘Beth’ A. Castiglione, 82, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 25, 2023 at her residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Francis R. and Violet (Culbert) Nation.
Beth graduated from LaSalle Senior High School in 1958 and attended Kelly Business School. On March 25, 1967, she married Frank Castiglione who she met water skiing. Mr. Castiglione predeceased her on July 20, 1995. Beth worked for Kellick’s Printing until her children were born. After her children were older, she worked for the Niagara Falls Board of Education at 66th Street School as a Library Associate for 20 years. She was a member of the Riverside Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School for several years in the Primary Department. Beth was a member of the Neptune Water Ski Club when it was located in the upper river and bowled in many leagues. She enjoyed ceramics and china painting. Most of all she enjoyed her family and spending time with her granddaughters.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Lisa A. (late Troy) Wheaton and Frank A. Castiglione; her granddaughters, April Wheaton and Holly Wheaton; her brother John (Bonnie) Nation, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Kelly Lynn Wheaton.
Private funeral services will be held with interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Memorial offerings may be made to St. Jude Shrine, 975 Ridge Road, Lewiston, NY 14092 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL., Memphis, TN 38105.
