Junior keeper Jordan Spencer recorded five saves for Canisius in a 0-0 draw versus Buffalo in collegiate women’s soccer action Thursday at the Demske Sports Complex.

The Bulls (2-1-1) out-shot the Golden Griffins (1-1-3) by a 14-5 margin during the contest but were unable to solve Spencer, who turned away all five of UB’s chances on target to record her fourth straight shutout.

The Bulls first chance came from Ellie Simmons in the fifth minute but it was pinned up against the post and pushed away by Spencer.

UB came right back in the 10th minute with a chance from Leah Wengender, but it once again stopped by Spencer.

The Griffs would get their first shot of the game in the 42nd minute off of the foot of Mia Iacona but the shot would go wide left.

Junior forward Madeline Weltin got the Griffs going in the second half with a pair of chances, with one going just wide and the second being corralled by Bulls goaltender Rebecca Winslow.

Spencer would keep up her solid play saving a chance from Katie Krohn in the 69th minute to keep the game scoreless.

The Bulls would generate an opportunity off a corner kick in the 74th minute, but Spencer would get a hand on the ball and punch it away.

Buffalo would get the best chance of the night off the foot of Mika Marolly, but once again Spencer would come up huge grabbing the point blank shot in the top right.

The Griffs last chance of the night came in the 85th minute when freshman Jessica Whitaker put a ball just past the right side of the goal.

Spencer would come up big one last time in the 89th minute, making a diving save on an attempt off the foot of Emily Lazenby.
