The Buffalo Sabres will continue to celebrate the life of Hall-of-Fame broadcaster Rick Jeanneret by airing a selection of his classic games on MSG.

“Remembering RJ: Sabres Classics” will begin Friday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. with a re-airing of “RJ Night” from April 1, 2022, when Jeanneret was honored with a banner in the KeyBank Center rafters. That game will be followed by “RJ’s Last Call” against the Chicago Blackhawks at 9 p.m. 

A marathon will begin Saturday, Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. culminating in the live broadcast of “Remembering RJ: The Man Behind the Mic” at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27. The event – which is free to the public with tickets available here – will feature roundtable discussions with broadcasters and alumni. 

The series will continue with two games each weeknight (at 7 and 9 p.m.) through Friday, Sept. 8. 

Jeanneret passed away Aug. 17 at the age of 81. He called Sabres games from 1971 until his retirement in 2022 and served as the team’s broadcaster emeritus last season.
