Moses was born on January 11, 1971, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Moses Johnson and Antoinette (Johnson) Alarmru. He was also the stepson of the late Shakerun Alarmru and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benton Woods, George Dunford, and Jewel Johnson. Moses was the beloved brother of Allison Johnson, and a special cousin to Wayneisha (Carl) Feaster and Journei “Buttercup” Finley. He leaves behind a host of cousins, other loving family, and friends who will deeply miss his warm and uplifting presence.
Moses was educated at Martin Luther Christian School and Traditional High School. His strong work ethic was evident from a young age when he began his first job at McDonald’s right after high school. He later worked at American Axle until its closing in 2008 and at Buffalo Psychiatric Center until 2012, when health issues arose. Despite these challenges, Moses demonstrated incredible resilience, winning a battle against cancer in 1994 and undergoing heart surgeries in 2012 and 2017. He took great pride in being informed about his healthcare, meticulously keeping a record of everything.
As a young boy, Moses was an avid wrestling fan. His great-grandmother, “Big Mama,” affectionately gave him the childhood nickname “Lumi.” Throughout his life, Moses nurtured his interests as a collector of model cars, comic books, and music. Some of his favorite artists were Public Enemy, New Edition, and Tupac. Despite his broad interests, Moses lived a simple life that was rich with love and compassion for others.
Moses was well-liked by everyone who crossed paths with him, his beautiful smile and friendly personality lighting up every room he entered. He was a loving and devoted son who always looked after his mother, Antoinette. Together, they enjoyed going out to eat, shopping, and watching the daily news.

His life was a testament to the power of resilience, the joy of simple pleasures, and the importance of family.
