James A. Bové, 61, of Wheatfield, NY, entered into eternal rest after a brief illness on Monday, July 10, 2023. Born in Elma, NY, he was the son of Richard Bové and the late Mary Lou (Langendorfer) Bové; and the beloved husband of Teresa (Viselli) Bové, who he married on October 14, 1989 at St. Joseph’s Church in Niagara Falls, NY.

Jim was raised in Elma, NY and moved to Niagara County following his marriage. He earned two Bachelor’s degrees from Canisius College and received his MBA from the University at Buffalo.

Jim was employed by United Stationers as the Director of Sales for over 27 years. He was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, Catechist, and Lector. He was also a volunteer with the Franciscan Mystery Players and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. In 2021, the Diocese of Buffalo awarded Jim with the Saint Joseph The Worker Award for his dedication and service to his parish community.

Jim was an avid sports fan and loved all Buffalo sports, most especially the Bills. He enjoyed golfing, taking care of his 1968 Ford Mustang, and walking his dogs Ginger and Molly. Above all else, Jim devoted his life around his cherished family, who know that his loving spirit will continue to guide them through life’s journey.

In addition to his wife of 33 years and his father, Jim is survived by his cherished children, Matthew (Andrea) Bové and Francesca Bové; his precious new granddaughter, Ellia Bové; his sister, Rebecca (Edward) Hart; his sister-in-law, Carol (George) Rideout; two nieces, Christa Marie (Norman) Marshall and Sara Hart; one nephew, Anthony (Kelsey) Rideout; and his great-nephews, George and James Marshall, who was proudly named after him. He is also survived by many loving friends and cousins who affectionately called him “Jamie.”

Visitation will be Friday, July 14 from 2 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.
