Niagara University, N.Y.—On Monday, ITA announced the 2023 Division I ITA Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams. Both Niagara’s men’s and women’s tennis teams were named an All-Academic team while five men were named Scholar-Athletes and six women were named Scholar-Athletes.
Jaida Borg (Psychology), Enrica Favaron (PLSA), Erika Gonzalez (Management), Madigan Humiston (ADSS), Coral Rodriguez (Biology), and Emma Shea (Psychology) were all awarded Scholar-Athlete honors from the Niagara women’s team.
Bryce Bodak (Education), Gurustat Makkar (Finance), Trevor Masi (Computer Science), Roberto Vaca (Finance), and Salvador Vazquez (Finance) each earned the honor on the men’s team.
To be named a Scholar Athlete the student-athletes must have had a 3.5 GPA or greater in the academic year.
For an All-Academic Team honor the team must have had a 3.2 GPA as a team.
