Joseph Sacco, 78, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on June 23, 2023 at his residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Yolanda ‘Ella’ (Soluri) Sacco.
Joseph graduated from Niagara Falls High School and received his Associates Degree from Niagara County Community College in Culinary Arts. Joe served in the United States Air Force in Culinary Arts from 1964 until his honorable discharge in 1969 as a personal chef to the Air Force Base Commander.
Later, Joe owned Victory Grill that was first owned by his father. He was also the proprietor of the International, The Tree House, The Stardust, The Parrot and Cruisers’, all in Niagara Falls, NY, as well as Valentino’s in Lewiston, NY. Joe was also a Bailiff for the New York Supreme Court in Niagara Falls and Lockport, NY and worked in Maintenance at the Niagara County Building in Niagara Falls. Joe was an active member and usher and Mt. Carmel Church and a member of the Cristoforo Columbo Society and the LaSalle Yacht Club.
Joseph is survived by his daughter, Tina Sacco, and his sister Marie (Glenn) Krisher, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Frank A. (Elyse) Sacco.
There will be no prior visitation. Joseph’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 28 at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment with Military Honors in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
