KVIS President, Melissa Foster said, “For 15 years, KVIS funding has been through sponsorship of our events and initia tives; securing sponsorship funding is challenging and very time consuming. Several years ago, we decided that in or der to grow and continue to serve our community, we needed to find an additional way of bringing in greatly needed funds. We developed a business plan that helps local Makers do what they love to do while helping them and the KVIS financially. The KVIS then takes the funds we make through the shop, and we put them right back into the community. This is why we say that the Made for Good shop features locally handmade gifts that give twice!”
Some of the items available at the shop include pottery, jewelry, knitted and crochet items, stained glass and art glass, bags, paintings, felted items, books of local interest and by local authors, greeting cards, music boxes, towels, tea, jams, clothing, socks, hats for dogs and cats, cake toppers, and more. The Made for Good shop offers free gift wrap for sales over ten dollars and is pet friendly with treats at the counter for dogs.
The KVIS is a group of volunteers celebrating 15 years of serving the community. We strive to help make our neck of the woods as good as possible in as many ways as needed. Membership to the KVIS is free and open to all people liv ing anywhere who care about Kenmore. For more information, please contact KVIS President Melissa Foster at mail@villageofkenmore.com.
