James Bruno, 76, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2023 at Schoellkopf Health Care Center. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late James and Carmela (Alongi) Bruno; and the loving husband of Arlene Bruno, who he married on August 21, 1965 at Prince of Peace Church.
James was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. He owned and operated Niagara Auto Supply, alongside his family for many years. James had a passion for sports and enjoyed going to the Casino. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his beloved granddaughter, Carmela, who was his little angel.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Schoellkopf Health Care Center for their compassion, love and care.
In addition to his wife of 58 years, Mr. Bruno is survived by his daughters, Dianna (Bill Rosati) Bruno and Kristen (John DeFazio) Bruno; his granddaughter, Carmela Bruno; two siblings, Linda (late Charles) Augustino and Joseph Bruno; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also, dear to his heart, were his cousin and godson, Vito M. Alongi and cousin Joseph V. Alongi.
In accordance to James’ wishes, no funeral services will be held. Arrangements by M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel.
