A Buffalo man was charged early this morning with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Niagara Falls Boulevard.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, at Deputy N. Ross initiated the traffic stop at 4:42 a.m. 2500 Block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. Upon interviewing the driver, he exhibited signs of intoxication. Further investigation led to the arrest of MARQUIS D. ADAMS, a 44-year-old-male from the City of Buffalo, for Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor), Operating a Motor Vehicle above a .08% (Misdemeanor), and other VTL Violations. Additionally, Adams was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (B Felony) after Deputies located approximately 35 grams of an off-white powder, field-tested positive for cocaine and various pills in the vehicle.
The vehicle was impounded and Adams was remanded to the Niagara County Correctional Facility awaiting Centralized Arraignment.
