Together with the D’Youville University Occupational Therapy Dept., Fantastic Friends of WNY, Inc. will host a Special Needs Prom on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 6:00-10:00 p.m. The event will be held at the South Line Fire Hall, 1049 French Rd, Cheektowaga, NY 14227.
Attendees will enjoy fun with friends, music with a DJ, photo booth, special lighting, a red carpet, gift bags, ice cream bar, candy bar, food, beverages, and an escort for the evening.
April is Autism Awareness Month, which is ideal timing for this special event, which raises awareness of the autism community. Individuals with special needs will be able to shine at prom and experience a fun night. Many of the individuals who attend the prom may not have the opportunity otherwise.
Highlights: Attendees will enjoy fun with friends, music with a DJ, photo booth, special lighting, a red
carpet, gift bags, ice cream bar, candy bar, food, beverages, and an escort for the evening.
Visuals: The prom allows special needs individuals to enjoy a night of dancing and fun with their peers.
Fantastic Friends founder Debbie Cordone will be available for interviews. The organization was
unable to host the prom in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. It returned in 2022, and the
much-anticipated event is back again this year.
