On April 5, 2023, SP Machias Troopers arrested Dustin J. Dashnaw, 40, of Ashford, NY for Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree, and Resisting Arrest.
Troopers responding to a report of an altercation at a residence on Fritz Road in the town of Ashford determined Dashnaw had assaulted another party with a baseball bat, causing injury to that party, as well as and damaged property with the same bat.
Dashnaw was arrested and arraigned in Ashford Town Court, where he was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail without bail. He is due to reappear in Ashford Town Court later this month.
