The two were married on August 14, 1971 and spent 51 years together as man and wife.

After receiving an honorable discharge in 1974, Carl worked at Electric Boat in Groton, CT and attended Thames Valley Technical School in Norwich, CT. He was very involved in the Zion Lutheran church, as well as being Vice President of Local IBEW 2104 and Membership Secretary and longtime member of the LaSalle Sportsman’s Club.

Carl was a huge fan of the Yankees and the Bills. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, coaching his children’s baseball team, and playing euchre. He was a devoted family man and was known by everyone who knew him as a kind and compassionate man.
