On March 28, 2023 the New York State Police conducted an Underage Drinking Initiative in Allegany County which resulted in the arrests of Mackenzie A. Jordan, 22, of Alfred, NY and Sophia J. Carretto, 21, of Canisteo, NY for the Prohibited Sale of an Alcoholic Beverage to a Minor.
Jordan was arrested after making a sale of alcohol to a person under the age of twenty-one at Gentleman Jims LLC in the village of Alfred. Carretto was arrested after making a sale of alcohol to a person under the age of twenty-one at SOS Liquor and Wines in the village of Alfred.
Both Jordan and Carretto were issued appearance tickets returnable to Alfred Village Court at a later date in April of 2023.
