Atlantic City, NJ—On Wednesday, the MAAC announced the MAAC All-Academic Team for women’s basketball. Four Purple Eagle student-athletes have earned the honor of being on the MAAC All-Academic team. Brooklyn Jones, Aaliyah Parker, Lexie Roe, and Maddy Yelle have all been named to the All-Academic Team.
This is the back-to-back years that Jones has been named to the All-Academic team, for Parker and Roe is the first time that they have received the honor. Yelle has been a mainstay on the All-Academic team as this is her fourth straight season being on the list of honorees.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
The Purple Eagles are back in action on Wednesday as they start the MAAC Tournament at 3:30 PM against No. 10 Rider.
